For Project 2, we designed and construct a 1:1 structure for a specific activity in a group. The structure was placed in a real dormant green space to activate its use. We worked with Bamboo and we were required to understand the nature and characteristics of the material and demonstrate basic knowledge in construction. We continuously developed our design through a series of: workshops, tests and investigations involving mock models, exploring architectural elements and principles and we mainly had to focus on incorporating anthropometry and ergonomics into our 1:1 structure.
